On behalf of the people of the United States and indeed the world, I congratulate you and the Stargate SG-1 team for discovering the hidden Antarctic base of the Ancients, the creators of the Stargates. We now possess the knowledge to travel farther through the cosmos than ever before.

Through Dr. Weir's elite team chosen to explore - for the first time - outside our own galaxy, we now know the threats our planet and its citizens face. The recent incursion of the Ori and alarming news from Atlantis of the Wraith's recent acquisition of Earth's coordinates make it imperative that we acquire new technology and allies.

Reminiscent of the Atlantis mission, the power requirements for our second intergalactic mission renders the journey one-way. The recent destruction of the Earth fleet at the Ori Stargate, limit our ability to travel to the new base by starship.  All of Earth's resources must be utilized to provide a defense against these new threats.  The brave members of this international team may never be able to return home. We hope and pray that we will find a way around this hurdle, so that these valiant explorers may bring with them new knowledge that will make our nation, indeed our planet, even greater.

With the knowledge of these new threats, the future of this planet is at question.  The Lemuria team may one day be the only surviving colony of the human race.  No human is safe within this Galaxy now that the Ori and Wraith have discovered us.

With all these boundless possibilities will come new threats. Is the balance of risk worth it? I once wholeheartedly said yes. It can not be denied that the use of the Stargate has brought upon this planet the wrath of the Universe.  Lemuria is no longer a choice; it is a necessity for the hopeful survival of mankind.  And if I may add, I envy those about to embark on this adventure of a lifetime.

Godspeed Team Lemuria,
